Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about material selection, performance, environmental considerations, custom sample production, and collaboration models

Do you supply raw materials, or finished products?

Qinghui primarily specializes in modified materials (modified PVC, TPE, TPR, and TPV granules), supplying these materials to manufacturing enterprises for extrusion, injection molding, and other processing applications. The triangular windows, water‑deflecting strips, trim strips, and other components displayed in the “Application Products” section of our website are verification samples fabricated using our own materials, intended to validate the compatibility between the materials and operating conditions; they are not products for external sale.

What are the main material series, and what applications are they each suitable for?

We have developed a comprehensive range of non-metallic materials for automotive applications: modified PVC (soft, general-purpose extrusion grade/injection molding grade, high-temperature resistance, low-temperature resistance, low-VOC, extruded glossy finish, extruded matte finish, rigid alloy), TPE/TPR, and TPV (wear-resistant, high-temperature resistant, high-flow injection molding). Applications cover multiple vehicle components, including interior and exterior trim strips, triangular window seals, sunroof seals, roof trim, front and rear windshields, interior and exterior weatherstrips, inlays, brightwork trims, bumpers, pressure strips, and various edge protection strips.

Which material should I choose for my part? (Water deflectors/Triangle windows/Skylight seals/Trim strips)

Application-specific matching: For sealing and trim components that are exposed outdoors for extended periods and require high weather resistance (such as water-shedding seals, triangular-window seals, and sunroof seals), TPV/TPE is typically preferred; for interior parts with low-odor and low-VOC requirements, low-VOC PVC is the material of choice; and for applications requiring a glossy or matte surface finish, glossy or matte PVC should be selected accordingly. The most reliable approach is to provide the part type + manufacturing process (extrusion/injection molding) + key performance requirements; based on this information, we will select materials for each part and recommend appropriate grades.

What levels of weather resistance, temperature resistance, hardness, and other performance characteristics can the material achieve?

The performance of several of the company’s products meets the standards of imported products from abroad (such as the United States and Japan), and the company has also developed specialized series that are resistant to high temperatures, low temperatures, and wear. Specifically, for a given grade, properties such as Shore A hardness, temperature range, compression set, and UV/aging resistance rating may vary depending on the grade; please contact us to obtain the corresponding test data. Please provide us with details about your operating conditions (such as applicable temperature, whether the material will be exposed to prolonged sunlight, the media it will come into contact with, etc.), and our engineers will select the most suitable grade for you.

How can environmental protection and in-vehicle air quality be ensured?

We have developed a series of low-VOC PVC materials to meet the automotive interior industry’s requirements for odor and VOC emissions; in terms of basic environmental compliance, these materials satisfy standards such as RoHS and REACH.

If you have specific environmental or odor-grade standards for a particular automotive manufacturer or industry, please inform us in advance. We will align our testing accordingly and issue the corresponding test report.

Can the formulation be customized to match our operating conditions?

Yes. Please provide us with a list of target performance specifications (such as hardness, tensile strength, temperature resistance, weathering/light‑resistance ratings, odor and haze requirements, etc.). We will select materials on a per‑part basis and recommend suitable grades. In terms of material application processes and services, we provide end-to-end support, offering manufacturing process technology and equipment technical assistance to help you utilize materials consistently and reliably.

What is the process for sample production and shipping?

Standard process: ① Please specify the part type, manufacturing process, and key performance requirements; ② We will recommend an appropriate grade based on this information; ③ We will arrange for a small sample to be produced and ship it to you; ④ After you provide feedback from trial production, we will adjust the formulation.

The sampling lead time and the number of samples to be shipped are determined based on the grade and specific requirements; please call us for an estimated timeline.

What is the minimum order quantity and the lead time?

The minimum order quantity and lead time are determined based on the grade and order volume; standard extrusion-grade and injection-molding-grade materials are generally available with more flexible lead times. Please refer to the actual quotation for details. Feel free to call us or leave a message online to obtain the exact minimum order quantity and delivery time.

What testing reports and certifications can you provide?

Our testing targets the material itself (not finished components), and we can issue material performance test reports covering mechanical properties, thermal properties, weather resistance, and other relevant parameters. If you require a third-party report or a standard report specified by the automaker, please inform us in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements. For information on testing equipment, please refer to the “Testing Equipment” section.

How is quality consistency and batch-to-batch stability ensured?

The company collaborates closely with the Materials Research Institute, rigorously implementing a industry-academia-research model to ensure the refinement of new material R&D and production processes. From pilot production to mass manufacturing, we provide end-to-end tracking, helping you maintain consistent quality across batches and reduce launch risks.

What advantages do you have in supply and logistics?

The company is located in the Dagang Industrial Park of the Ningbo Economic and Technological Development Zone, adjacent to the renowned Port of Beilun. Its convenient logistics infrastructure facilitates the efficient flow of raw materials and finished products, enabling us to better support our customers’ supply schedules.
